THE PROBLEM + SOLUTION

You promote a great employee — and suddenly they’re managing people, not projects. They know the work, but not how to handle conflict, give feedback, or communicate under pressure. That’s when the problems start showing up in HR. Complaints. Frustration. Turnover. It’s not that these new managers don’t care — they’ve just never been taught how to communicate and lead people effectively.

That’s where the R-Factor Workshop comes in.

Created by Gregg Ward — award-winning author of the bestselling business fable The Respectful Leader and Founder of The Center For Respectful Leadership — this program gives managers practical, real-world skills to build respect and trust, communicate clearly, and resolve conflict before it escalates. With nearly 30 years of experience—from Fortune 100 companies to the New York City Police Department—Gregg’s live virtual sessions blend instruction, hands-on practice, and real-time feedback. Managers walk away with tried-and-true tools they can use immediately.

Managers Gain:

  • The ability to give feedback that inspires, not deflates
  • Confidence in handling defensiveness and conflict quickly and calmly
  • Stronger communication across personality types and styles

HR Gains:

  • Fewer complaints and escalations
  • Higher retention and healthier team dynamics
  • Freedom to focus on strategy, not damage control
Graduates of the R-Factor Workshop lead with empathy, communicate with clarity, create psychologically safe teams, and handle conflict before it ever reaches HR’s desk.
