The Respectful Leader Workshop
Program Summary: this highly interactive, informational, and practical learning program, created by Gregg Ward CRL’s Executive Director along with CRL’s expert Advisory Council members, is specifically designed to support manager and leadership transformation in understanding, valuing, and practicing Respectful Leadership™. The program’s overall goal is to make the fundamental business case that respect is a key business/organizational success factor.
Over the course of two back-to-back half days, participants are introduced to the neuroscience of respect, the current data behind the concept that respect is a key driver of performance, productivity, and partnership, and the tools and techniques for developing ARC’s (Actively Respectful Cultures) in their business units. Day One focuses on self-awareness while Day Two concentrates on tools and techniques for active listening and delivering performance and behavioral feedback effectively while reducing defensiveness and pushback. In general sessions and in breakouts sessions and exercises, participants also explore issues around unconscious and confirmation biases, Psychological Safety and influencing others effectively through respect.
The program, which includes copies of Ward’s award-winning bestselling business fable, The Respectful Leader, plus workbooks and job aides, is designed to be delivered to small groups 10-16 over two back-to-back half days either in-person or virtually. Shorter keynote, talk and seminar versions are also available.
