Back in the 90’s, my clients kept saying things like “We get a lot out of your training programs. How come all your stuff isn’t in a book?” Good question.
So, in 2002 I wrote Bad Behavior, People Problems & Sticky Situations: A Toolbook for Managers and Team Leaders. I designed it to be a quick and handy reference guide for managers, who can just flip to the index, look up their problem and then turn to the tool that helps them manage that problem.
The reviews and feedback I received were pretty good, which was nice. And I must admit I was a bit surprised when it actually started to sell…almost 25,000 copies to date. But, I think we can all agree that the world of work has changed a bit since “Bad Behavior…” first came out.
And so, under the guidance of the brilliant and famous “book doctor” Henry DeVries who is also the founder of Indie Books International, my book has been revised and re-launched and is now available in the print and e-book versions on Amazon, Barnes and Noble and iTunes.
Now, rest assured, it’s still the same quick and handy reference guide my clients asked me to create. But I’ve updated all of the workplace data that I reference in the book, and revised some of the tools. And it’s still a quick read. I hope you will find my first book to be as helpful and as useful as I intend it to be.
