Employees will want to work hard for people that respect them. If workers feel valued and respected, they’ll view management in a more positive light and be more willing to put in extra effort and go above and beyond.
Morale plunges without respect. When employees feel disrespected and disconnected from management or the organization, their attitude towards work can change quickly. It only takes one soured leader-employee relationship for employees to lose morale.
